Interestingly, MONEY, WOMEN AND GUNS wasn't originally intended as part of the cowgirl series. Initially, it featured a cowboy astride a galloping horse, and while the painting was well executed, Laura was never fully happy with the results. Eventually, she painted out everything but the running horse and reimagined the piece as part of the new series in an homage to B-western billboard movie posters. Laura had her oldest daughter Alexa model for the cowgirl. The original has been sold but an archival quality giclee print in an edition of 100 and measuring 30" by 40" is available.
